a.  Wipe grease fitting with a clean cloth before 

greasing, to avoid injecting dirt and grit. 

b.  Inject grease through fitting with grease gun until 

grease overflows fitting, except where noted. 

c.  Leave excess grease on fitting to keep out dirt. 
d. Replace any loose or broken fittings 

immediately. 

e.  If fitting will not take grease, remove and clean 

thoroughly. Also clean lubricant passageway. 
Replace fitting if necessary. 

f.  Refer to the following illustrations for identifying 

the various locations that require lubrication.
