O-Ring Face Seal (ORFS) Hydraulic Fittings
1.
Check components to ensure that sealing surfaces and
fitting threads are free of burrs, nicks, scratches, or any
foreign material.

Apply hydraulic system oil to O-ring (B).
3.
Align tube or hose assembly so that flat face of sleeve
(A) or (C) comes in full contact with O-ring (B).
4.
Thread tube or hose nut (D) until hand-tight. The nut
should turn freely until it is bottomed out.
5.
Torque fittings according to values in Table
Face Seal (ORFS) Hydraulic Fittings, page 80
.
NOTE:
If applicable, hold hex on fitting body (E) to
prevent rotation of fitting body and hose when
tightening fitting nut (D).
6.
Use three wrenches when assembling unions or joining
two hoses together.
7.
Check final condition of fitting.
