Revision D
NOTE:
•
Adjust the reel forward to position the fingers closer to the ground, while tilting the header back. Fingers/tines will dig
into the ground at extreme reel-forward positions, so adjust skid shoes or header angle to compensate.
•
Adjust the reel aft in thinner crops to prevent plugging on the cutterbar.
•
Increase the header angle to position the reel closer to the ground, or decrease the angle to position the reel farther
from the ground.
•
Raise header, increase header angle, and position reel fully forward in lodged crop for maximum stubble height.
•
Minimum crop carrying capacity (minimum area of exposed draper between the reel and the header backsheet) occurs
with the reel in the farthest aft position.
•
Maximum crop carrying capacity (maximum area of exposed draper between the reel and the header backsheet) occurs
with the reel in the farthest forward position.
•
The finger tip speed at the cutterbar is higher than the reel speed at higher cam settings due to the nature of the cam
action. For instructions, refer to Table
