Header Setup

The combination of reel positions and reel cam settings allow the operator to adjust to various crops and conditions.

1.

In Table

3.1, page 39

, find the row for the type of crop to be cut.

2.

Determine the desired stubble height for that crop.

3.

In the column for the applicable crop condition, find the recommended reel setting reference for that crop.

4.

Look up the recommended reel setting reference in Table

3.2, page 39

. This table illustrates the reel profile at each

cam setting and the reel location relative to the ground at different positions on the reel arm.
