Installing a Sealed Bearing
This installation procedure applies to all typical sealed bearings.

1.
Clean the shaft and apply a rust preventive coating.
2.
Install flangette (A), bearing (B), second flangette (C), and
lock collar (D).
NOTE:
The locking cam is on only one side of the bearing.
3.
Install and tighten flangette bolts (E).
4.
Position the shaft correctly, and lock the lock collar with a
punch. Lock the collar in the same direction the shaft
rotates, and tighten the set screw in the collar.
5.
Loosen the flangette bolts on the mating bearing one turn
and then retighten. This will allow the bearing to properly
line up.
