Warning
When setting the upper and lower limits of alarm, decide whether the patient you are
monitoring is an big or small animal, and the limit should be set according to clinical
requirements.If the set limit value exceeds the alarm limit, it will easily lead to alarm system
failure.
5.10
Verifying the Alarm System
Whether or not the alarm system is working, can be detected through the light and sound alarm status
indicator.
connecting a cable for blood oxygen measurement to the monitor;
go to ―SpO
2
setting‖ to set the blood oxygen alarm in an ―ON‖ position
setting ―SpO
2
alarm at high and low limits‖ in 90% and 60%, respectively
go to ―main menu‖ to select ―setting alarm‖ in which the alarm volume‖ is set at one of the levels of ―1-4‖;
When the measured value exceeds the upper or lower limit of alarm, set the Alarm Level as High, Medium
and Low to observe the changes in the sound, light and parameter flash of the instrument. See the contents
of ―Sound Alarm, Light Alarm, Alarm Information and Alarm Parameter Flash‖ in this chapter for
details.Meanwhile, it indicates that SPO
2
is too high or too low in the physiological alarm information
area.
If it warns under the normal circumstance which the parameter surpasses the maximum and minimum of
alarm, the equipment will response with alarms of ―light, voice, parameter flash and information‖ , and the
average delay of alarm does not exceed 5 seconds.
Pull out the SPO
2
probe from the monitor, and the following information prompts out in the technological
alarm information area: the SPO
2
probe comes off.
Attention
When the alarm system gives several alarms at the same time, the system preferentially gives high
level warning with light and voice.
