Configuring the Circuit Emulation Interface

Trunk conditioning will be done with ATM net-
work. The PSAX system will generate an idle data 
pattern in the payload of ATM cells to send a sig-
nal to indicate a connection failure.

Unsupp

No interworking will be done with ATM network. 
The PSAX system will not send a signal to indi-
cate a connection failure.  Do not choose this 
value if you want to enable trunk conditioning.

OAM

OAM interworking will be done with ATM net-
work. The PSAX system will use ATM OAM cells 
to send a signal to indicate a connection failure.  
You can use this value if all the ATM switches 
along the connection support ATM OAM cells.  
You must use this value if you selected 

Unframed1s

 

in the UpStrmIntrworking field on 

the Port and Channel Configuration window of 
the module you are configuring.  The PSAX sys-
tem does not support upstream interworking of 
unframed 1s with a downstream setting of trunk 
conditioning.
