 General notes

•

This document should be read carefully and retained for future reference.

•

Before carrying out any repairs or maintenance, a risk assessment must be carried out and appropriate measures taken to ensure the

safety of all personnel.

•

All work on the equipment must be carried out by qualified personnel.

•

The power supply must be suitable for the supplied equipment.

•

The refrigerant, temperature and pressure must comply with the information on the air cooler nameplate.

•

Since the exchanger is supplied indirectly, the manufacturer is not aware of the actual application.

•

If the equipment is used in the food industry, the end user is responsible for meeting hygiene requirements.

•

Install the cooler in accordance with national regulations for cooling and electrical system installation procedures.

•

The heat exchanger is suitable for use with the refrigerants indicated on the datasheet or the order documents. The maximum allowa-

ble pressure (design pressure - PS) is shown on the nameplate. The design pressure (PS) must not be exceeded during normal opera-

tion.

•

LU-VE heat exchangers are not generally equipped with a high pressure exhaust valve. The installer is responsible for installing the

high pressure exhaust valve on the system in which the heat exchanger is used.

•

The use of the heat exchanger for applications and purposes other than those for which it was designed by LU-VE is not permitted.

Liability

The manufacturer shall not accept liability and the warranty for the unit shall be considered void for damage resulting from:

•

Incorrect installation; including failure to follow the instructions in the appropriate manuals.

•

Modification of or faults in the electrical or refrigerant or water connection.

•

Use of the unit under conditions other than those indicated.

Unit management

Adequate personal protective equipment must be used.

Inspect the equipment for damage caused by incorrect handling or transportation: submit an immediate complaint to the carrier.

Dispose of the packaging material in accordance with local requirements.

Checks on delivery

All finned coils have been subjected to pressure testing with dry air, then sealed and supplied in a state of slight overpressure.

Before installation, check there are no leaks using a Schrader valve.

Use appropriate equipment when lifting the unit (e.g. lifting device, trolleys, etc.).

Do not step on or place anything on the external unit. This could cause injury or damage to the unit.

 Installing the units

Installation must be performed by a qualified installer. Do not install in a location:

Where access for installation and maintenance is difficult.

•

Too close to heat sources.

•

That may increase the vibration of the unit.

•

That cannot support the weight of the unit.

•

Subject to risk of exposure to combustible gas.

•

Exposed to oils and vapours.

•

With unusual environmental conditions.

Choose a place:

•

Where the noise and exhaust air are within the limits permitted by applicable standards and regulations.

•

Protected from headwinds.

•

With the required space.

•

That will not block passageways or doors.

•

With a floor structure that is strong enough to support the weight of the unit and minimize vibration transmission.
