ERGO TOP INCORPORATES THE
CONCEPT OF DYNAMIC SITTING.
For the LÖFFLER office swivel chairs, the ERGO TOP technology with its 360°
flexible seat – complementing the rather passively supporting synchro-
nous mechanism – enables an active upright seating posture. The lateral
movement of the seat also supports lateral inclination of the pelvis – in the
sense of training for the neuromuscular stabilisation mechanisms of the
spinal column.
This form of active and dynamic sitting not only trains back muscle, but
also provides the intervertebral discs with nutrients whilst preventing false
posture. Please therefore observe that you can initially get “muscle ache”.
ERGO TOP was developed in close co-operation with the Chair of Ergo-
nomics at the Technical University of Munich and was initially used for the
mobile seating furniture series ERGO & Friends.
This was followed by the integration of the ERGO TOP technology in all
LÖFFLER office swivel chairs, ERGO TOP’s main area of application today.
The German interest group of physiotherapists specialising in back problems,
IGR (Interessengemeinschaft der Rückenschullehrer/innen e. V.), recom-
mends office swivel chairs with ERGO TOP technology without reservation.
With ERGO TOP, LÖFFLER’s office swivel chairs meet the known traditional
ergonomic requirements as required by DIN 4551 for office swivel chairs
or from the test mark “Ergonomics tested” from TÜV Rheinland or LGA
Bayern. Moreover, all LÖFFLER office swivel chairs meet the DIN EN 1335 1-3
standard for office work chairs.
