This chapter gives information about cleaning your Hi-Fi Personal Handset,
and replacing the batteries.
Do not mix old and new
batteries.
C l e a n i n g t h e H i - Fi Pe r s o n a l H a n d s e t
To clean the Hi-Fi Personal Handset
●
Use a length of sellotape or masking tape to remove dust, hairs, etc.
The particles will stick to the tape, leaving the handset clean.
R e p l a c i n g t h e b a t te r i e s
To open the Hi-Fi Personal Handset
●
Remove the three screws on the back of the handset,
using a small Philips screwdriver.
●
With the handset upside down, tap the narrow end of the
case against your hand to free the front panel from the case.
●
Turn the handset over and, holding the front panel
by its edges, carefully lift it up.
WARNING: Do not touch the silver contacts or
components on the printed circuit board as this
may damage the handset with static electricity.
To replace the batteries
●
Remove the old batteries and replace with four AAA
or LR03 type batteries, checking the polarity carefully.
