The Hi-Fi Personal Handset can control up to 8 different audio sources using
the keys labelled:
CD

.
Initially these keys are programmed to control Linn products, and a range of
products from other manufacturers; refer to
Controlling other equipment

page 26, for details of the most important products supported.
If the products in your system are not on this list you can easily program the
Hi-Fi Personal Handset with the commands from your other infra-red remote
control handsets; see

S e l e c t i n g a s o u rc e
Pressing one of the source selection keys does two things. First, it configures
the source control keys and numeric control keys to operate the source you have
selected. Then, after a short delay, it instructs your amplifier to select the input
associated with that source.
This chapter explains how to use the Hi-Fi Personal Handset to select one of your audio
sources, and then operate the source you have selected.
