Each sequence of key presses is called a macro, and you can keep up to 10 different
macros for your most frequently used operations.
For example, you could record a news macro to pause the CD player and then select
channel 1 on the TV.

You can record up to 10 different macros, one for each of the numeric control
keys

. Each macro can record up to 10 key presses.
To record a macro
●
Press the
LEARN
handset control key.
The
LEARN
indicator will be illuminated to show that the Hi-Fi Personal Handset
is ready to learn a macro.
●
Press the
MACRO
handset control key.
The
MACRO
indicator will be illuminated to show that the Hi-Fi Personal Handset
is ready to record a macro.
●
Press one of the numeric control keys
0
to
9
to identify the macro.
The macro will be assigned to the key you press.
The
LEARN
indicator will flash slowly to show that the Hi-Fi Personal Handset is
ready to record key presses in the macro.

This chapter describes the Hi-Fi Personal Handset’s macro function, a very convenient and
powerful feature which allows you to record a sequence of key presses, and then replay the
sequence at any time using a single key press.
