9.7 Drive on Slope
Determine rated value and gradient of slope and side slope of the machine. The rated value of slope is
applicable to the folding machine.
Maximum rated value of slope in
folding position.
40% (22
゜
)
Maximum rated value of side slope
in folding state.
40% (22
゜
)
△
!
Note: Rated value of slope is limited by the ground conditions and traction.
Determination of gradient: Use the digital inclinometer to measure the slope or measure it as per
following steps.
Tools required: carpenters' rules, straight wood block with length of at least 1 m, and tape.
Put the wood block on the bevel, and put the rule on the upper edge of the wood block at the end of the
slope, and raise the end of the wood block until it is level. Keep the wood block level and measure the
vertical distance from the bottom of wood block to the ground. Divide the tape distance (rising height) by
the length (travel) of wood block, and then multiple it by 100 to get the gradient.
If the gradient exceeds the maximum rated value of upslope, downslope and side slope, the machine
must be lifted or transported up and down along the slope. Refer to the "Transportation and Lifting"
section.
9.8 Extension and Retraction Platform
1) Rise the extension lock handle of the platform to the upper limit position (about 80
゜
) of handle.
2) Push the extension lock handle of the platform to extend the platform to the required position.
Do not stand on the extension platform when extending the platform.
3) Press the extension lock handle of the platform to make the upper and lower truss plate engage with
each other, so as to lock the extension platform.
9.9 Emergency Descending
1) For GCU: Press and hold the enabling button of lifting function, and start the descending function. In
case of power supply fault, please use the standby auxiliary descending function (emergency
descending).
2) For PCU: Press and hold the enabling button of lifting function, and start the ascending/descending
rocker switch on the descending direction.
9.10 Operation from Ground by Control Unit
1) Maintain a safe distance among operator, machine and stationary objects.
2) Pay attention to the forward direction of machine when using the control unit.
9.11 Outrigger operation
1) Put the machine under the excepted operation area.
