Result: The platform shall descend. When the platform descends, the descending alarm shall sound.
Test on Emergency Descending Function
1) Press and hold enabling button with lifting functions while raising the platform by about 60 cm.
2) Push the red emergency shutdown button on the ground inwards to the off position and turn off the
engine.
3) Pull the red emergency shutdown button out to the on position.
4) Press and hold the emergency descending button. Press and hold the platform descending button.
Result: The platform shall descend.
5) Turn the key switch to the PCU and restart the engine.
8.5 Test on PCU
Test on Emergency Shutdown
1) Push the "red emergency shutdown" button on the platform to the "Off" position.
Result: The engine shall be turned off and all functions shall be disabled.
2) Pull the "red emergency shutdown" button out to the "On" position.
Result: The indicator shall be green.
Test on Horn
1) Press the horn button.
2) Result: The horn will sound.
Test on Ascending/Descending Functions and Function Enabling
1) Start the engine.
2) Start the ascending/descending rocker switch in the direction indicated by the blue arrow.
Result: The platform shall not ascend.
3) Press and hold the enabling button with lifting functions.
4) Start the ascending/descending rocker switch in the direction indicated by the blue arrow.
Result: The platform shall ascend.
5) Press and hold the enabling button with lifting functions.
6) Start the ascending/descending rocker switch in the direction indicated by the yellow arrow.
Result: The platform shall descend. When the platform descends, the descending alarm shall sound.
Test on Steering

Note: When performing steering and driving function tests, stand in the middle of the
platform and face the steering end of the machine.
1) Press and hold the enabling switch on the control handle.
2) Press the thumb rocker switch at the top of the control handle in the direction indicated by the blue
triangle on the control panel.
Result: The steering wheel shall rotate in the direction indicated by the blue triangle on the control panel.
3) Press the thumb rocker switch in the direction indicated by the yellow triangle on the control panel.
Result: The steering wheel shall rotate in the direction indicated by the yellow triangle on the control
panel.
