17. Functions
17.1. Exam and Modify Functions
The Exam and Modify Functions allow any item (cues, groups, etc.) to be viewed or edited:
Exam Commands Result
Channel:
[CHANNEL][#][EXAM]
Opens a table containing cues and groups where channel is stored and its
level in each group or cue.
Fixture:
[FIXTURE][#][EXAM]
Opens a table containing cues and groups where fixture is stored and its
parameters and levels in each group or cue.
Group:
[GRP][#][EXAM] or
[GRP][EXAM]
Examines the contents of a group number or the general group options in
the groups list.
Cue:
[CUE][#][EXAM] or
[CUE][EXAM]
Examines the contents of a cue # or the general cue options in the cues list.
Effect:
[EFFECT][#][EXAM] or
[EFFECT][EXAM]
Examines the contents of an effect # or the general effect options in the
effects list.
Page :
[PAGE][#][EXAM] or
[PAGE][EXAM]
Examines the contents of a page # or the general page options in the page
list.
Macro:
[3_B]Macro [#][EXAM] or
[3_B]Macro [EXAM]
Examines the contents of a macro # or the general macro options in the
macro list.
Submaster:
[EXAM][S#] or
[EXAM][FL.MT]
Examines the contents of a submaster # or the items loaded in all the
submasters.
Modify Commands Result
Group:
[GRP][#][MD.FY][REC] or
[GRP][GRP]
The first command opens a group # for editing.
The second command opens the groups list to edit the general group options
(text).
Cue:
[CUE][#][MD.FY][REC] or
[CUE][CUE]
The first command opens a cue # for editing.
The second command opens the cues list to edit the general cue options
(times, jumps, text and commands).
Effect:
[EFFECT][#][MD.FY] or
[EFFECT][EFFECT]
The first command opens an effect # for editing.
The second command opens the effects list to edit the general effect options
(text, type, direction, attributes, etc.).
Page :
[PAGE][#][MD.FY] or
[PAGE][PAGE]
The first command opens a page # for editing.
The second command opens the pages list to edit the general page options
(text).
Macro:
[3_B]Macro [#][MD.FY] or
[3_B]Macro [MD.FY]
The first command opens a macro # for editing.
The second command opens the macros list to edit the general macro
options (text).
Submaster:
[MD.FY][S#] or
[MD.FY][FL.MT]
The first command modifies the content of the group or cue loaded in the
selected submaster. If the submaster is loaded with an effect, it opens the
effect for editing. (Command does not work for submasters containing a
cues list.)
The second command allows editing of the loaded item for each submaster.
It is also how to set a submaster as a general level control (Level) or as a
general rate control (Rate).
Crossfader:
[MD.FY][MD.FY]
Edits the cue in X1 (the crossfader has to be at either end so that the cue is
at FF).
The [OPTIONS] key can be used to quickly modify some item’s options, for example: [CUE][#]
[OPTIONS].
Use the arrow keys to view additional items. To close exam and modify functions, press [EXIT].
