16.2.3. Using Shapes in Playbacks
To access the list of shapes during playback execution and perform some basic functions for each playback
(Stop, Play, Pause, Call to Editor): Press [Shape][3].
16.2.4. Examine Shapes List
To view the pre-programmed shapes list, press [Shape][4].
16.2.5. Examine Cues and Groups containing Shapes
To examine shape information recorded in a group or cue:
1. Select the desired group or cue, then press [EXAM].
2. Press [Shape][5] to view the shapes stored in the group or cue.
3. Press [Shape][6] to view the items that have a shape applied.
16.3. Shape Base Configuration
16.3.1. All Groups and Cues
The behavior of groups and cues in relation to active shapes can be set via [
Menu][31]:
Shape Base:

Shape Base

(Free): Each new group or cue activated can change the shape base value and the shape
will follow its course with the new base values. In general, if you are storing colors, positions, shapes,
etc. in several submasters, and then you combine them, use this option.
•
Shape Base -(Fixed): Each new group or cue activated can change the shape base value and will also
stop the shape of any shape parameter over which we take control. In general, if you are storing
complete scenes, with dimmers and parameters in the same submaster, use this option.
Follow below to understand the difference between Shape Base
~
(Free) and -(Fixed) behaviors:
1. In submaster S1, load a group of several channels at 10% with a flash shape and some homed fixtures
with a circle shape.
2. In submaster S2, load a group of the same channels at 50% without a shape, and the same fixtures in a
new position, also without a shape. Observe the differences when activating and deactivating the S1 and
S2 submasters in different sequences:
