5. Locate the RAID 110i upgrade key on the system board. Then, lift the RAID 110i upgrade key straight
up to remove it from the upgrade key connector.

6. If you are instructed to return the old RAID 110i upgrade key, follow all packaging instructions and use
any packaging materials that are supplied to you for shipping.

onboard SATA software RAID 5 is not available without the RAID 110i upgrade key, you might need to
reconfigure RAID for your server. See “Configuring RAID” on page 65.
Installing or removing the Lenovo ThinkServer RAID 510i/520i upgrade
key
The following two RAID upgrade keys activate RAID 5 and RAID 50 levels for advanced SATA or SAS
hardware RAID:
• Lenovo ThinkServer RAID 510i upgrade key (requires the Lenovo ThinkServer RAID 510i AnyRAID Adapter)
• Lenovo ThinkServer RAID 520i upgrade key (requires the Lenovo ThinkServer RAID 520i PCIe Adapter)
