Lifting & Transporting the Mower
WARNING
!
To prevent serious injury or death:
•
The machine must only be lifted, handled and transported
using equipment and vehicles of suitable load capacity.
•
The machinery and vehicles used to lift, handle and
transport the machine must only be operated by authorized
and qualified personnel.
•
The owner is responsible for ensuring that the machine is
lifted, handled and transported by qualified personnel using
appropriate equipment and vehicles.
•
The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for any
damage or injury resulting from the use of inappropriate
lifting equipment.
•
Handle and transport the machine with very slow
movements only. Avoid sudden jolts and collisions and only
lift the load as far as strictly necessary from the ground.
CAUTION
!
To prevent serious injury:
•
Comply with all general and specific rules and guidelines
concerning lifting equipment, handling and transport even
if not expressly cited in this document.
•
Wear the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE)
when lifting.
•
The lifting equipment and accessories used to sling and
secure the load must be in proper working order, suitable for
the weight of the load lifted, conforms with applicable
legislation in the country of use and used in compliance with
the instructions given by the constructor and/or with the
relative technical rules.
•
A chain or strap must NEVER exceed an angle of 45°
relative to the vertical. An angle exceeding 45° will place
extreme strain on the entire hoisting system and hoist points,
and poses a very high risk of damage or failure of the
hoisting components.
Handling & Storage
WARNING
!
To prevent serious injury or death:
Never use spacers to raise or tilt the machine as this would put
the machine in a precariously unbalanced condition.
The machine may only be transported and lifted by
companies specialized in transporting machinery. The
machine can only be lifted and transported safely by
personnel with the necessary skills using suitable
equipment.
When lifting:
•
Use extreme caution.
•
Keep all persons out of the work area.
•
Do not allow anyone to stand or walk underneath or in
the vicinity of a suspended load.
•
Raise loads as little as possible from the ground.
•
Maneuver loads slowly without jolting or collisions.
•
Keep the work area clear of materials and objects.
•
Use bars of suitable length to guide the suspended
load.
All personnel, including the operator, must remain at a
safe distance. The safety distance must also allow for
risks due to exceptional events such as the failure of a
chain or lifting eye-bolt, causing the load to overturn.
