Parasol Installation Instructions

BACK

ASSEMBLE THE SHADE (Cont.)

Adjust the Tension

- Remove the masking tape and tighten all the top

tension screws in the top rail until tension plates line up

with the mark.

CONNECT THE POWER SOURCE

Battery Wand

- Install the batteries into the battery wand.
- Squeeze the cap latch to release the cap and remove

from the battery wand.
- Install the batteries according to the instructions on the

battery wand label. Energizer

Ultimate Lithium AA

batteries are recommended.

- Replace the cap, align the tab with the end of the wand

and press the cap on until it latches.

To mount the battery wand into the battery wand holder,

Align the battery wand with it’s socket toward the motor

side end cap.

- Push the battery wand straight down into the battery

wand holder.

Caution:

Be sure the cable does not become pinched

by the battery wand clip during installation. Damage or

overheating of components could result.

Plug the power cable into the battery wand by

connecting it into both sockets on the battery wands.

Make sure the cable is not wrapped around the shaft

and reinstall the bottom rail cover.

Satellite Battery Pack

- To mount the satellite battery pack, remove the bottom

rail cover and attach the wall mount bracket to the back

side of the bottom rail using pre-drilled holes.
- Mark the screw holes, remove the backing from the

double-sided tape on the wall mount bracket and press

into place. Attach the bracket with the screws provided.
- Position the battery wand so the power cable is easily

connected to the socket, and snap the battery wand

into the bracket.

- Install the battery wand cover with the slot aligned to the

socket.
- Route the power cable from the shade through the

bottom left corner bracket and plug into the socket in

the battery wand or the extension cable. If using an

extension cable, plug the other end of the extension

cable into the socket in the battery wand.
- Secure the power supply cable using wire retainers.

If hiding the cable behind the shade, make sure it does

not impede the operation of the shade.
