Cleaning equipment
The baking trays, cookware, roasting grids, water tanks and supporting grids may
be rinsed in a dishwasher.
Decalcifying
Whenever steam is produced, calcerous deposits will form in the steam generator,
irrespective of the degree of hardness of the local water (i.e. the lime content of
the water).
A system in the appliance automatically recognises when it is necessary to
decalcify. This system can be optimised by setting the water hardness level in the
user settings when the appliance is connected to an extremely hard water supply
(water hardness > 36 °fH) or an extremely soft water supply or one with water
softening equipment (water hardness < 16 °fH).
– The clear text display indicates “Boiler calcified. Please decalcify” .
How often the oven needs to be decalcified depends on the degree of water
hardness in question and is indicated after a maximum of 40 hours of operation
by the steam generator. In addition decalcification is indicated for reasons of
hygiene after a certain maximum operating period.
We recommend that you decalcify when the display indicates that this is
necessary.
Failure to decalcify can result in impairment of the appliance performance.
Suitable decalcifiers
Please use only the “appliance decalcifying agent“ especially developed for this
appliance when decalcifying. This agent will enable you to gently decalcify your
appliance in a professional manner.
Commercial decalcifying agents are not suitable for your appliance since they
contain ingredients which froth or they may not be effective enough.
Simply use the stamped postcard to order the “appliance decalcifying agent“.
The temperature gauge may not be rinsed in a dishwasher.
