[4] ASSISTANT CONTROL SYSTEM
(1) Fail-safe Function
If a sensor or solenoid valve of the system gets in trouble during operation, an error message appears in the LCD
screen of the electronic instrument panel. The entire system adjusts itself on the safer side and keeps itself from
getting into another trouble.
What's more, if the shift solenoid valve of the GST valve gets in trouble, the system adjusts itself to an accessible
shift position or the neutral position no matter which position the shift lever stays in.

(2) Self-diagnosis Function
If any of the following troubles occurs, its related
error code gets displayed flashing in the panel's LCD
screen as shown in figure. With the repair finished, the
error code disappears. The error information will be,
however, put in the memory device of the electronic
instrument panel and can be reviewed in the Error
Information Display Mode (Refer to "4. CHECKING AND
ADJUSTING" of "SERVICING" in this section). Such
error information can also be deleted out of the error
history by operating of Error Information Reset Mode
(Refer to "4. CHECKING AND ADJUSTING" of
"SERVICING" in this section).
