- Place the deck superstructure on the boat and check
that it is located correctly.
- Drill 2.5 mm holes for the windscreen wiper shafts
through the front screen and the deck.
- Remove the deck superstructure. Drill out the holes
in the deck edge only to 3 mm; this makes it easier
to engage the shafts.
- Glue the windscreen wiper shafts in place; they also
serve to locate the superstructure at the front.
- Place the superstructure on the boat once more.
- Mark the position of the 4 mm hole in the cockpit on
the deck edge and continue the hole through the
deck.
- Glue the doublers 11.23 together. Glue nut 11.22
into the doubler 11.23. Glue the doubler under the
hole in the deck edge.
-
Insert the guide 11.24. Fit the screw 11.25
and secure the guide by applying a drop of cyano
from the top. Remove the superstructure and apply a
fillet of UHU acrylit on the inside.

- Install the RC system components previously
removed and secure them with double-sided tape –
stage 5.
- Connect the complete receiving system ready to
use.
- Fit the propeller 3.10 on the shaft and tighten it
against the lock-nut 3.3.
- Caution: when the battery is connected to the power
system it is essential to keep well clear of the
rotational plane of the propeller when working on the
model, as the spinning blades can easily injure you if
the motor unexpectedly starts running.
- Cut the steel whip aerial 12.1to length and bend a
loop in the top end as shown.
- Slip the aerial into the aerial tube 7.7 from the rear.
- Cut down the flexible aerial attached to the receiver
by 500 mm, fit a piece of heat-shrink sleeving 12.2
on the wire and solder the end to the steel whip
aerial. Position the sleeve over the solder joint and
heat it. The heat-shrink sleeve serves both as
insulator and as stop-piece when you extend the
steel whip aerial.
