- Connect all the system components to the receiver
5.14 so that it is ready to use. Adjust the speed
controller as described in the instructions supplied
with it.
- Install the receiver 5.14 and the receiver battery 5.15
in the boat. These parts are eventually held in place
with strips of double sided foam tape 5.17, but only
after the boat has been painted. Note: the switch
should be installed under the deck, but not at this
stage.
- Install the speed controller and battery (or batteries)
5.11 and connect them.
- Ceck all the boat's working systems: ensure that the
rudders are drafty at centre, and deflect in the
appropriate directions when you move the stick. If
the steering function works the wrong way round,
correct it using the servo reverse facility on your
transmitter.
- Check the direction of rotation of the motor: when
viewed from behind the boat, the propeller must
rotate in the direction of the arrow. If it rotates in the
opposite direction, un-solder the cables at the motor
terminals and swap them over.

- Note: all the ends of the cooling system hoses are
secured by pushing short pieces of hose 6.1 over
the joints, as described for the hose connections to
the cooling coil.
- Connect the cooling hose 2.8 and one hose from the
motor cooling coil to the speed controller. Fix the
speed controller to the speed controller support
using the double sided foam tape 6.4.
- Bend the cooling water inlet 6.3 to the shape shown
in the full size drawing at the end of this instruction,
and bevel the bottom end of it. Then cut it to the
correct length.
- Glue the prepared inlet in the hull.
