RCI5000 includes a built-in ‘Signal Strength Measurement’ feature, which support
measurement while using an external radio. The ‘Signal Strength Measurement’ data is
display on LCD while using ‘Channel Screen’, and also send to unit’s port (refer to: ‘
Ports
Setup
’).
To assure accurate ‘Signal Strength Measurement’ results, three parameters have to be in full
matching:
•
HW signals between External Radio and RCI5000 must be connect properly.
•
Audio gain has to be set to the required level.
•
RCI5000 internal measurement tables to match specific External Transceiver type and frequency
range.
While ordering a new RCI5000 unit together with KP factory made External Radio, the
RCI5000 is factory set to measuring using the supplied External Radio unit.
If a local Transceiver is to be connected to RCI5000 by customer, please contact KP’s
technical support.
