Removing the SAS Backplane Board from the Drive Bay
Assembly
If you need to replace the SAS Backplane Board or use it on another drive bay
assembly, follow these steps:
1. Detach all drives or filler blanks attached to the backplane board. For instructions,
see
2. Loosen the three screws that fasten the backplane board to the drive bay assembly.

3. Pull the backplane board off of the rear of the drive bay assembly

Installing a New SAS Backplane Board
To install a new backplane board, the drive bay assembly must be removed from the
chassis and the old backplane board removed first. See the procedures above in
1. Line up the new backplane board with the back of the drive bay assembly.
