How to Use This Guide
This guide is designed to be used as step-by-step instructions for installation, and as a
reference for operation, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
Note: Additional technical information, BIOS updates, and drivers are
available on our web site, www.kontron.com, under Technical Support.
The following is a summary of the chapter contents:

Chapter 1, Introduction , provides an overview of the KISS4U.

Chapter 2, Installation , provides instructions on preparing the KISS4U for use
and mounting it or installing it in a 19” industrial cabinet.

Chapter 3, Maintenance and Prevention , has information on replacing fans,
filters and batteries.

Appendix A, Slide Rails (Optional) , provides instructions on how to install the
optionally available slide rails for use in a 19” industrial cabinet.

Appendix B, Troubleshooting , provides general troubleshooting guidelines and
steps to fix some common problems.
