OPERATION OF WORK EQUIPMENT
WARNING
If any lever is operated when in the deceleration range, the en-
gine speed will suddenly increase, so be careful when operat-
ing the levers.
The work equipment is operated by the left and right work equip-
ment control levers. The left work equipment control lever operates the
arm and swing, and the right work equipment control lever operates the
boom and bucket.
The movements of the lever and work equipment are as shown in
the diagrams on the right. When the levers are released, they automati-
cally return to the neutral position and the work equipment is held in
place.
•
If the work equipment control lever is returned to the neutral posi-
tion when the machine is stopped, even if the fuel control dial is set
to FULL, the auto-deceleration mechanism will act to reduce the
engine speed to a mid-range speed.
REMARK
If the levers are operated within 15 seconds after stopping the en-
gine, it is possible to lower the workequipment to the ground.
In addition, the levers can also be operated to release any remain-
ing pressure inside the hydraulic cylinder circuit and to lower the boom
after loading the machine on a trailer.
