8.2 DURING MAINTENANCE
PERSONNEL
• Only authorised personnel can service and repair the machine. Extra precaution should be used when
grinding, welding, and using a sledge-hammer.
ATTACHMENTS
• Place attachments that have been removed from the machine in a safe place so that they do not fall. If they
fall on you or others, serious injury could result.
WORK UNDER THE MACHINE
• Always lower all movable work equipment to the ground or to their lowest position before performing service
or repairs under the machine.
• Always block the track shoes of the machine securely.
• Never work under the machine if the machine is poorly supported.
KEEP THE MACHINE CLEAN
• Spilt oil or grease, or scattered tools or broken pieces are dangerous because they may cause you to slip or
trip.
Always keep your machine clean and tidy.
• If water gets into the electrical system, there is danger that the machine may not move or may move unex-
pectedly.
Do not use water or steam to clean the sensors, connectors, or the inside of the operator’s compartment.
