24.2.3 CHECK AND TIGHTEN TRACK SHOE BOLTS

If the machine is used with track shoe bolts

a

loose, they will break,

so tighten any loose bolts immediately.

Method for tightening
1.

Tighten first to a tightening torque of 390 ± 40 Nm (40 ± 4 kgm, 290
± 30Ib ft) , then check that the nut and shoe are in close contact with
the link mating surface.

2.

After checking, tighten a further 120

Order for tightening
Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the diagram. After tightening,
check that the nut and shoe are in close contact with the link mating sur-
face.
