Software Enhancement
Revisions for the IMAGER
Version 4.9.1 -- 4.7
Note:
The following represent several updates since Ver 4.6, however they have not been released to
production until Ver. 4.9.1.
Acquisition Timeout EC 66 Debug Help:
Shows how many lines of image data were acquired before a
digital image timeout when [CTRL] D is enabled.
Intermittent Video DMA Failure:
The priority of the video DMA task was raised above the print control
task to prevent DMA failure while the CPU ASIC was reset to print the next film.
Acquisition During Software Download Corrupts Software Data:
Image acquisition is disabled and
acquisition in progress is aborted when software download via the service port is initiated.
Possible Division by Zero Problem
: Comments added to software code to alert future programmers of
limitation.
Changing Firmware Versions Enabled ”Show Mode”:
The NVRAM configuration parameters will not
be shifted anymore so this problem will no longer exist.
Checksum Failure After Download With SIMM in Wrong Slot:
When there is no DRAM in the bottom
memory slot, the software now displays DYNAMIC RAM FAILURE and disables the imager, and the
software download.
Remove Film Tray Now Possible After High Priority Error:
Allows the tray to be unlocked by pulling
the film saver out and pushing it back in again, even if a high priority continuous error (like A/D Converter
Failure EC 88) has occurred.
NVRAM Position Will No Longer Change With Software Download:
It is no longer necessary to enter
6999 Enter after downloading new software.
Calibration Debug Data Can Now be Toggled Off:
Software now recognizes Control--D command to
toggle debug data off while printing the thousands of calibration data samples. Previously the Control--D
would not be recognized until after all data samples had been printed to the service port.
Memory Full Error Message Now Clears With AIM:
The Memory Full Error is now cleared when the
AIM command is received from the Network Interface firmware.
Interrupts Are Disabled During Time Critical Sequences:
To eliminate EC 64 and EC 66 from parity
error with MERGE digital data.
False EC 46 Laser Board Failure Eliminated:
The firmware now activates the laser briefly during
power--on initialization, to clear any latched laser board failure signal that might occur when power is
applied.
More Robust Drum Temperature Monitoring:
To eliminate related error messages.
Drum End Zone Monitoring Possible:
The addition of AtoDEon and AtoDEoff will now display the end
zone RTD debug data on a PC via the service port , like AtoDon and AtoDoff does for the center zone.
Landscape 2--on--1 Films Printed Side by Side:
Previously they were printed one over the other. The
image area is now 1356 pixels by 2136 lines.
Metalut 3.0.3B Was Added to System Software:
Previously, the LUTs had to be downloaded as a
separate file.
EC 71 Now Displayed For LAMP FAILED TO REACH TEMPERATURE:
Previously, EC 69 was
displayed which is the EC for a different error.
