Correct way of screwing the pipes
The hydraulic installation and exchanger connection should
allow their unrestrained disconnection and removal from
the unit for the purposes of repair or maintenance.
Supply and return connections are properly marked on the
air handling unit housing, and their exit is shown in figures.

Connection of DX Cooling coils
The connection of the water exchangers should
be carried out in a countercurrent system.
Otherwise, the average temperature differen-
ce between the medium in the exchanger and
the flowing air will decrease, and as a result the
efficiency of the exchanger will decrease (for
heaters – up to 10%, for coolers – up to 20%).
NOTE:
1. In order to protect the control panel mechanisms aga-
inst excessive overheating, for units with heaters supplied
with medium over 100˚C, a water supply blockade should
be provided when the control panel is switched off (e.g. an
electromagnetic valve).
2. The exchangers’ stubs should be connected in such a way
that the exchanger operates in countercurrent.
3. The diameter of the condensation tray stub pipe is 32mm.
4. It is recommended to replace the drain plugs with valves
and the vent plugs with vents.
Please note that these elements are located on the exchan-
ger collectors. They can be accessed after removing the
section cover. If after installation of the exchanger supply
system access to these elements is difficult, it is necessary to
lead them outside the unit in a convenient place. In external
devices, the vent and drain elements should be protected
against freezing.
5. DX coolers are filled with nitrogen at a pressure of
0.03MPa, which prevents moisture from
When connecting the power supply to the heat
exchangers, care must be taken to ensure that
the pipes run smoothly with other installations
and with the unit housing (service access to the
unit operation).
4.5.2 Operating recommendations for water exchangers
The state of contamination of the water exchanger lamellas
should be checked at least every 12 months, but it is recom-
mended when replacing the filters.
When the exchanger is contaminated, it should be cleaned
with a vacuum cleaner with a soft suction nozzle on the side
of air inlet or blown through with compressed air on the
side of air outlet. Washing with hot water is also possible to
wash with warm water with detergent, which does not cau-
se corrosion of aluminium. When filling the installation, it
should be remembered to bleed the exchanger at all times.
Every 12 months the condensers should be checked for cle-
anliness of the condenser, the drip tray, and the condensate
drainability and trap condition. If the drop separator is so-
iled, wash it with warm water with washing agents.
Before the winter period, if the medium is chilled water and
the exchanger will not work, drain the water if the exchan-
ger is exposed to direct cold air flow.
4.5.3 Operating recommendations for exchangers for direct eva-
poration
Operation analogous to a water cooler, with the following
proviso: washing the cooler with direct evaporation of DX
with hot water requires prior suction of the refrigerant from
the cooling system. Otherwise, gas pressure may increase,
which may damage the cooling instalation.
In case of marks of sedimentation in the drip tray, wash it
with water with the addition of a descaling agent. Wash the
radiator condenser with warm water and detergent and
also a liming agent, if required.
