1. GENERAL INFORMATION
This material is related to the operation and maintenance
manual (OMM) for a range of compact standard air handling
units with the heat recovery – KLIMOR EVO-S COMPACT. The
purpose of the OMM [Operation and Maintenance Manual]
is to familiarize installers and users with the construction,
functioning, transportation and correct operation and main-
tenance of the air handling unit (AHU). Before the AHU in-
stallation as well as before launching and operating the AHU
you should carefully read this OMM, WARRANTY and strictly
follow all instructions herein.
In case of any doubts concerning the method of transport,
assembly or operation, please contact the Service depart-
ment of KLIMOR.
KLIMOR reserves the right to introduce (without prior notice)
structural and material changes resulting from modernization
and improvement of equipment construction.
This OMM is a supplementary material for the Operation,
Installation and Control System Manual which should be
provided by the supplier of the AHU and control system.
It is related to the AHU operation principles and does
not cover all information in relation to the system and
supplementary components, which /should be provided
with dedicated operation manuals.
2. GENERAL TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
2.1 Purpose
Compact air handling units in standard KLIMOR EVO-S
COMPACT version is designed for use in air-conditioning,
ventilation, heating and air-extraction systems. They can
operate in low- and high-pressure systems in overland fa-
cilities.
The AHUs in standard version are used in system designed
to handling and distribution of chemically inert air – with-
out caustic or explosive components, without oily, viscous
and fibrous slurries, and its temperate cannot exceed
+45˚C. Units to be used in special conditions each time must
be agreed with the manufacturer.
2.2 Technical parameters and designation of AC units
2.2.1 Unit size
The KLIMOR EVO-S COMPACT AHUs as a standard are pro-
duced in 11 standard sizes, with air flow rates and air com-
pression ratios according to the table 1 and are part of the
full range of EVO-S modular air handling units. The units are
produced in supply and exhaust systems, in configurations
with heat recovery on cross-current (CPR) and rotary (RR)
exchangers.
In units with CPR exchangers, air flow of both streams is
possible: counter-cross (CPR-C) or parallel-cross (CPR-P) and
for units with RR exchangers, air flow is counter-current.
Failure to comply with the guidelines and re-
commendations contained in the Operation and
Maintenance Manual releases the Manufacturer
from warranty obligations.
