system.

unlock
the doors, but it will not lock. Alternatively, pressing the button
in
Valet Mode

To remote start your vehicle’s engine
, press and hold the
button for
more than 2 seconds. The hazard/parking lights will then flash 3 times and
the LCD pager will play a melody alert; and shortly after, the
icon will
appear, indicating the 825K is preparing to start the engine. After several
seconds, if the engine start sequence is successful, the pager will display the
icon and the preset engine run-time and another melody will play.
NOTE:
Vehicle hazard/parking lights flash during the entire remote start se-
quence for safety. This feature cannot be disabled.
Remote Engine Shutdown.
When you wish to end a remote start sequence
and shut down your engine, simply press the
button once. The engine
will stop and the
icon will disappear from the pager’s LCD. The hazard/
parking lights will flash 4 times, and the pager will play a melody.
Keep Engine Running.
If you wish to drive your vehicle after the engine has
been remote started, first ensure the system is disarmed and then turn on the
ignition with your key and step on the brake. Pressing the brake causes the
825K to end the remote start sequence and hand over engine control to the
vehicle’s ignition key-switch. If you later turn off the ignition with your key,
the engine will then shut down as usual.
To keep your engine from shutting
down after you remove the ignition key, see “Keyless Idling” on page 6.
