SYSTEM OPERATION
TIP: You can adjust the siren chirp duration. See page 12, line 6.
NOTE: Even in Stealth Alert mode, the siren will still go off in Panic Mode
or Anti Car Jack Mode.
Press and release the
and
buttons to flash your vehicle’s hazard/park-
ing lights 6 times and hear the siren chirp 6 times as an aid to locating your
vehicle in a crowded or dark parking lot.
Car Locator Function
If you find that the external shock sensor is causing false alarms when you
park near busy train stations, truck stops or construction sites, you can con-
veniently bypass the sensor input from your transmitter or pager. Simply
press the and
buttons for a short duration after arming. (If you press
these buttons while disarmed, the system will then arm with the sensor input
bypassed.) In Sensor Bypass mode, the LCD pager will display the
icon
(with
flashing on and off) and play a melody, and the siren will chirp
twice
. Press and
again for a long duration to disable Sensor Bypass.
Noise Pollution Attenuator.
The 825K will automatically bypass the sensor
input once it has triggered the siren
8 times
(i.e., eight total Warning and/or
Full siren triggers). Door, trunk, hood, brake and ignition trigger zones will
remain active during the Sensor Bypass.
TIP: Pressing and
for more than 2 seconds will turn off the Noise Pol-
lution Attenuator until you disarm and arm again.
Remote Sensor Bypass
Sensor Input Triggers.
If the external shock sensor detects a
light impact
to the vehicle while the system is armed, the siren will produce 5 Warning
Chirps and the hazard/parking lights will flash 6 times. The LCD pager will
display a flashing
icon and play a melody. When
heavy impacts
are de-
tected, the siren will blast and lights will flash for
15 seconds
. The LCD
pager will play a siren sound and display the
icon.
Other Trigger Zones.
If the 825K is triggered by a door, the trunk, the hood,
the brake or the ignition switch, the siren will blast and lights will flash for
30 seconds. The LCD pager will display an icon for the zone that caused the
trigger and will play a siren melody for 20 seconds.
