This feature makes brief stops more convenient by allowing you to remove
your key from the ignition
without shutting off the engine
. You can exit the
vehicle with your keys and then arm the security system with your pager or
transmitter while the engine continues to run.
There are 2 easy steps to activate Keyless Idling:
(1) While the engine is running, press the
button for more than 2 sec.
(2) Remove key from ignition.
If you completed the procedure properly, the engine will still be running after
you remove the ignition key. If you then exit the vehicle and press the but-
ton, the 825K will arm (bypassing the
sensor
and
IGN inputs
), and the engine
will run for the preset duration. When the preset time is exceeded (the default
is 10 minutes), the 825K will automatically shutdown the engine.
If you return to the vehicle
before
the preset engine run time expires, you can
have the engine continue to run as normal simply by turning on the ignition
with your key. The engine will shutdown when you turn off the ignition.

For turbo-powered vehicles, the 825K can be programmed to keep the engine
running for short period of time after your remove your ignition key. This
feature is useful for cooling turbo engines in many sports cars, eliminating
potential damage due to heat build-up. Turbo Timer is set to OFF by default.
You may program a run time of 30, 60 or 300 seconds.
See page 12, line 15.

when the 825K is disarmed,
except
during remote start. During remote start,
sensor input signals are ignored (bypassed) to avoid triggering the siren.
