SYSTEM OPERATION
Valet mode allows you to safely offer your car keys to a valet or car mainte-
nance person without worry the siren will go off. You can also use this mode
to lock and unlock the doors or pop the trunk without arming or disarming the
security system.
NOTE: sensors are not powered while in Valet mode.
To activate
, ensure the system is disarmed and then press
&
&
at the same time for more than 2 seconds. The siren will chirp 4 times and
lights will flash 4 times, and the LCD pager will display the
icon and play
a melody. All 825K functions
except remote trunk release and door locking
will
then become inoperative, and &
Auto Start
modes will be cleared.
To deactivate
, press the
&
&
buttons for a short duration. The
siren will chirp 3 times and all system functions will be restored.
Valet / Car Maintenance Mode
Manual Disarming.
In the event you lose your transmitter or the battery dies,
you can still manually disarm your 825K system if you have the ignition key.
Please note though that the siren will likely go off when you open the door to
enter your vehicle.
However, the siren will immediately stop when you have
manually disarmed using these three steps:
(1) IGN ON.
(2) Press Program Switch 4 times.
(3) IGN OFF.
The LCD pager will continue to sound an alert for up to 12 seconds
after
you
manually disarm, but pressing the
button will silence the pager. The pag-
er will then beep twice and update to show you the system is now disarmed.
Manual Arming.
You can easily arm your 825K without using the pager or
transmitter. Simply follow these three steps:
(1) IGN ON.
(2) Press Program Switch 8 times.
(3) IGN OFF.
The siren will then chirp once, lights will flash once, and the 825K will secure
all zones
20 seconds
later. The LCD pager will also beep once a few seconds
after a zone (door, trunk, etc.) is secured during the 20 seconds. The Status
LED will begin blinking when the 825K is armed and all zones are secured.
NOTE that the siren will be muted by default when Manual Arming.
