To disable or activate beeping, hold [F2].

To enter SlowMode, hold down [F3].
Light Source
To turn on the Light Source, press [On/Off] (square green button in the
top row).
Or to turn on the Light Source for permanent operation, press the
[On/Off] for 3 seconds until ‘on’ and ‘Perm’ is displayed
If the battery is low, this will be indicated with a battery
symbol on the display.
The initial display shows the date and time.
Refer to page 21 for instructions on how to set date and time, or
continue:

Press [Source].
You are now using instrument as a light source displaying
operating wavelength, nm and nominal output power, dBm.

Press [ - ] or [ + ] to select another operating wavelength.

To backlight the display, press [Backlight], (top row).

To turn the instrument off, press [On/Off] again.
Also at turn-on:

To disable auto-off timer, hold [On] for 3 sec.

To set time & date, hold down [Toggle centre].

To view firmware version, hold [F4].

To disable or activate beeping, hold [F2].
Loss Test Meter
To turn on the Loss Test Meter, press [On/Off] (square green button
in the top row).
Or to turn on the Loss Test Meter for permanent operation, press the
[On/Off] for 3 seconds until ‘on’ and ‘Perm’ is displayed
If the battery is low, this will be indicated with a battery
symbol on the display.
The initial display shows the date, time, optical power and
previous test wavelength.
Refer to page 21 for instructions on how to set date and time, or
continue:

To use instrument as a Power Meter, press [Meter] and
follow the above instructions for Power Meter.

To use instrument as a Light Source, press [Source] and follow
the above instructions for Light Source.

To use instrument as Loss Test Meter, press [Auto] to activate
Autotest. Then set reference on meter, following the
instructions for Power Meter.
You are now using the instrument as a loss test meter meter
displaying reference wavelengths and optical loss power in
dBm.
