Starting control mode
A. Automatic trigger device: the device consists of thermal line, in condition of fire or temperature in engine
cabin over 170
℃
, the thermal materials could ignite extinguisher automatically.
B. Electric trigger: the extinguisher switch is installed on dashboard as shown the following drawing, once
automatic trigger device fails working while the smog give off from engine cabin, the driver can open the
extinguisher switch lid, and press down the button to ignite the extinguisher at once.
The extinguisher switch has an indicator as feedback device. In normal state, green lamp keeps light up; while
the installing is not proper, yellow lamp keeps light up; while ignition is motivated, red lamp will light up as
well.
(2) Engine cabin extinguisher operation & maintenance main points

The extinguisher switch is forbidden to use in normal condition except for fire occured in engine cabin.

To check regularly extinguisher’s mounting condition, fasten the loose bolt and repair the damaged bracket
immediately; guard against the loose connection happened between thermal line and extinguisher body.

To check extinguisher body, pipeline regularly, replace broken parts if it did; guard against the oil
contamination and blocking emerged on the nozzle of conveyor in pipe network type extinguisher, should
clean them at once if it did.

The automatic starting device in extinguisher is adopted from thermal material, it’s ending port could not
permit some jag, should cut off them if it did. At ordinary times, should not wash engine cabin by water in
fear of thermal material soaking in water.

Require to check electric wire connection regularly, guard against wire wear or cracking, should replace
them at once if it did.

Require to check regularly if the switch is in good state, and assure that the green indication lamp light on,
if yellow indication lamp or red indication lamp light on, extinguisher state and conductor wire connection
condition need be checked furthmore in time.
(3) Special instruction
The normal service life cycle for engine cabin extinguisher is about 4 years since it’s production date.
Meanwhile, the normal service life cycle for portable dry-powder extinguisher is about 10 years since it’s
production date. Hence, recommend to check the production date stated in the extinguisher device regularly,
once find it’s using time nearly it’s own life cycle, even if the appearance on it keeps a good condition, should
also be replaced immediately; otherwise, for the resulting loss, KING LONG will not be undertaken.
