OVERVIEW
The JACKSON SAFETY* R60 AIRMAX ELITE* blower
is part of a system for protecting the respiratory
pathways. It works on the principle of positive
pressure. The belt-mounted blower unit delivers air
through a filter and via an air hose into a headpiece
(a helmet, hood or mask). The supply of filtered air
creates positive pressure inside the headpiece,
which prevents the external contaminated air from
entering the user’s breathing zone.
The supply of clean air also ensures the user
comfortable breathing without having to overcome
the resistance of the filters.
For adequate and efficient protection, it is necessary
to choose the correct combination of a respiratory
unit, suitable filters and a protective headpiece.
APPROVAL, REGULATORY
The R60 AIRMAX ELITE* powered air purifying
respirator is approved in accordance with
EN12941:1999. All parts of the system used must be
approved by the manufacturer and must be used in
accordance with the instructions in this manual. Failure
to follow all instructions for the use this protective
device may enadanger the user’s health or life.
