Output termination
Output termination is required at all times, whether the output is used or not. The
type of termination depends on the output class, as shown in Table 12 below.

Output termination
Class B (default) All outputs require a 15 kΩ end -of-line resistor for termination. If
an output is not used, the end -of-line resistor must be installed
across the unused output terminals (see Figure 4 on page 11).
Class A (EN 54-13) All outputs require a 4.7 kΩ, 1/4W, 1% end -of-line resistor for
termination. If an output group (OUT1/2, OUT3/4) is not used,
the end-of-line resistor must be installed across the unused
output terminals (see Figure 5 on page 11).

Output polarity
All outputs are polarity sensitive. Observe polarity or install a 1N4007 diode or
equivalent to avoid inverted activation issues.
Connecting sounders or other notification devices to supervised outputs
Depending on the operating mode, up to four sounder or notification device
circuits can be connected. See Table 10 on page 16 .
Connecting fire routing equipment to supervised outputs
Connect fire routing equipment as shown in Table 13 on page 18.
