This adjustment can be handled by the delay circuit. When
DELAY mode is set to AUTO, the instrument automatically
adjusts the average phase difference to 180
˚
. When DELAY is set
to MANUAL, use the variable resistor next to the DELAY key to
adjust the phase difference so that the peak (brightest part) of the
PHASE MONITOR above the meter is approximately centered.

• When DELAY is set to AUTO, it takes some time for the
reading to stabilize after the coupling of the signal to the
delay circuit from MANUAL mode. Moreover, a jitter of
15 % or more or jitter distribution in two or more peaks
may disable the correct action.
