Running the IV and CV Tests

For specified accuracy, allow the power device analyzer to warm up for a
minimum of one hour before running any IV and CV tests.

Select and install the appropriate B1506A accessory module or adapter for
connecting your device under test.

Install your device to be tested (Device Under Test or DUT) in the Test
Chamber in the selected B1506A or B1505A accessory.

IV and CV characterization tests with InTEST HP289-PM Thermal
Platform are done over a wide temperature range in the test
chamber. These tests can take several hours as the temperature
must stabilize within the test chamber.
To avoid electrical shock and instrument damage, turn all
instruments off before connecting cables or inserting a device to
be tested.
