IV and CV Device Characterization IV and CV Test Requirements
Setup and Configure the Keysight B1506A and EasyEXPERT
The following B1506A and EasyEXPERT setup and configuration needs to be only
once.

Turn the B1506A on. For specified accuracy, allow the B1506A to warm up for
a minimum of one hour before running any IV and CV tests.
2 Check the EasyEXPERT software version and update if the version is less than
6.1.1742.9630.
After updating the EasyEXPERT software, reboot the B1506A.

When the B1506A is first powered on, it opens with the
Easy Test Navigator
software. Close the Easy Test Navigator by right clicking on its icon ( ) and
selecting
(X) Close Window
.
Set B1506A Environment Variables
This section uses the ConfigurationTool.exe file that you downloaded to a
memory stick. See “Download Setup and Configuration Files” on page 19.

Insert the memory stick into the B1506A front panel. Run the
PD1000A
ConfigurationTool.exe .

Click the Setup B150x button to run the Environment Variables configuration.
This utility needs to be run one time only.
Important: Always use the latest firmware in the B1506A Analyzer.

www.keysight.com/find/B1506A.
EasyEXPERT Software version 6.1.1742.9630 (or later) must be
installed in the B1506A. Software updates are available at:
www.keysight.com/find/EasyEXPERT.
