E1412A 6 1/2 Digit Multimeter Service Guide

Repair/Maintenance Guidelines

Service

BNC Connector Replacement

Use the following steps to replace the Keysight E1412A BNC connectors.

Step 1

Disassemble the module according to Figure 8-2 and the associated

procedure.

Step 2

Remove the two torx screws that secure the BNC connector to the PC board

(see Figure 8-4).

Step 3

Unsolder the BNC connector from the PC assembly at its two solder

points (see Figure 8-4).

Step 4

Remove the terminal by lifting the connector from the PC board.

Step 5

Reverse the procedure to reinstall the new BNC connector by first

inserting the connector leads into the PC board solder eyes, then secure the
connector to the PC board with the torx screws followed by soldering the
connector leads to the PC board.
