RF Path Configuration Check for Analyzers with Option 029
If the analyzer has Option 029 or H29 (noise figure capability) verify that the path configuration
is set to Default. If it is not in Default configuration, Port 3 will not operate correctly.
1.
Select Trace/Chan > Channel > Hardware Setup > Path Cong... -OR-
(Instrument > Setup > Internal Hardware > RF Path Config...)
and in the drop-down
menu select Default > OK. Save this configuration as a User Preset by selecting Save >
User Preset > Save current state as User Preset.
Do not use the factory Preset (User Preset Off),
as this will return the
analyzer
to
the
Option 029
path configuration.
2.
Verify that the Port 1 Noise Tuner Switch is set to external. Select
Utilities System> Configure > Preferences -OR-
(Utility > System > System Setup > Preferences > User Preset)
.
If not, select Meas: Port 1 Noise Tuner Switch is set to external.
