A Y-type AC mains distribution is required, provided that the correct line-to-line voltage is applied (see
above). A delta-type AC mains distribution cannot be used. An earth-ground to chassis-ground
connection through a separate conductor must always be provided.
SHOCK HAZARD The instrument requires a chassis ground connection through a
separate conductor. The AC mains must include an earth ground connection.

If attached, remove the safety cover from the unit.
l
Insert the terminated ends of the power cord through the
strain relief of the safety cover.
The safety cover strain relief bushing can accommodate a
wire cable or individual wires.
The minimum inside diameter is 15 mm (0.6 in.).
The maximum inside diameter is 25.4 mm (1 in.)
l
Do not tighten the strain relief until all wire connections
are complete.
l
After all wire connections are complete, attach the safety
cover to the unit and tighten the strain relief.
l
Attach the line wires to the AC mains terminals (U.S. color
code shown).
Maximum wire size: 6 AWG or 16 mm2
Wire stripping length: 18 mm
Always use a flat blade screwdriver to release and fully
open the wire clamp.

Optional ferrule suggestion:
For 8 AWG: WAGO 216-289
For 10 AWG: WAGO 216-288
(Refer to manufacturer for details.)

Connect the ground wire to the chassis stud located
below
the AC connector. The stud diameter is M5. Torque the M5
combination nut to 20 in-lbs.
