MAINTENANCE
WARNING: BEFORE ANY SERVICING, AVOID POS-
SIBLE INJURY OR ELECTRIC SHOCK BY DISCON-
NECTING THE POWER CORD FROM THE ELECTRI-
CAL OUTLET.
Reduce the build up of chemical residue by running 8
ounces of vinegar for every gallon of water through the
machine once a week. Be sure the vinegar solution
sprays into an appropriate tub or drain. When finished,
run clean water through the machine.
CAUTION: Do not use vinegar solution on carpet.
BRUSH BELT ADJUSTMENT
CAUTION: Belt pulleys can become hot during nor-
mal use. To prevent burns, avoid touching the belt
pulley when servicing the drive belt.
Empty and remove both tanks. Remove the four screws
securing the chassis cover, while removing it, slide so-
lution line through the slot.
Loosen the four motor mount bolts no more than two
or three turns. Turn the adjustment screw, clockwise to
increase belt tension and counterclockwise to decrease
belt tension. Check tightness of belt through access door
in chassis. Once adjusted, tighten the four motor mount
screws and reverse above directions to reassemble.
