Safety systems
The
Biofuge primo
is equipped with a number of safety
systems:
•
Housing and rotor chamber manufactured from
impact-resistant plastic; inner armouring made of
steel
•
Lid with window and lid lock
You can open the centrifuge lid only when the
power is turned on and the rotor has come to a halt.
You can start the centrifuge only if the lid is properly
locked.
•
Rotor identification for power adjustment
•
Electronic unbalance detection
•
Warning if instrument is manually opened during a
run
If the lid is manually opened during a run, or if the
temperature of the drive exceeds a critical value, a
corresponding message appears in the display
("Lid" and "OPEN", respectively).
•
Emergency lid release: only in case of emergency,
e.g. during power failure (see chapter "Trouble-
shooting"
Do not tamper with the safety
systems!
