BEFORE FIRST USE
− To minimize the risk of the rice foaming when cooking, wash the rice thoroughly. This reduces
the starch contained in the rice.
− If you soak rice that has not been pre-cooked in cold water for 5 to 10 minutes before
preparing it, the cooked rice will become softer.
-During use, hot steam comes out of the lid.
-Parts of the rice cooker become hot.
-Hot steam escapes from the steam hole on the lid. Ensure a sufficient safety distance to all
easily combustible objects, e.g. curtains or draps.
Do not touch the hot parts of the rice cooker, e.g. the ceramic pot and the two lids, with
your bare fingers during operation and after the cooking process. Always use heat-
insulated cooking gloves or pot holders to hold the ceramic pot and the two lids. Also
inform other users of the dangers. After use, allow the rice cooker, the pot and the two
lids to cool down before touching them with your bare hands.
− Note that hot steam can escape from the steam hole on the lid and the rice cooker even after
the appliance has been switched off. Keep enough distance to the steam outlet hole on the lid.
− Make sure that the water does not boil over and runs directly into the rice cooker. − Always
keep the lid closed during operation and only open it to stir the rice.
− Hot steam escapes when you open the lid. Keep enough distance and open the lid with
oven mitts.
If you use the rice cooker improperly, you can damage the rice cooker, the accessories or other
items.
− Only fill the ceramic pot with water.
− Do not fill water directly into the cooker housing. Only fill the water in the ceramic pot.
− Make sure that the ceramic pot is completely dry on the outside before inserting it into the
cooker body.
− Always follow the information on the packaging − Note the capacity of the rice pot (max. 1.8l).
− Only use the supplied bamboo spoon or a wooden or plastic spoon to stir or serve the rice.
Other materials can damage the rice pot. When using for the first time, there may be an odor
and smoke. This is not a defect. The reason for this can be packaging and coating residues.
− Ensure adequate ventilation.
- Never heat the pot without contents.
