BEFORE FIRST USE
Danger to life from suffocation/swallowing of packaging material.
Keep the packaging material away from children. Dispose of it immediately.
Remove the packaging material and all components. Before using the rice cooker for the first
time, wash the inner pot, the two lids and the accessories (measuring cup, bamboo rice spoon)
with warm soapy water and dry them carefully. The rice spoon made of bamboo should be oiled
with a vegetable oil, e.g. olive oil. Do not immerse electrical parts in water! Wipe the rice cooker
with a damp cloth only.
Never operate the device without the ceramic pot and lid.
Do not leave the device unattended when it is in use.
Any repair, maintenance or replacement of parts must be carried out by KeMar or an authorized
service company.
Before using the rice cooker, please follow the instructions below. Observe the following
guidelines when setting up the rice cooker:
− Place the rice cooker on an easily accessible, level, waterproof, heat-resistant and
sufficiently stable work surface. Do not place the rice cooker on the edge or edge of the work
surface.
− Avoid heat build-up by not placing the rice cooker directly against a wall or under wall
cupboards, shelves or similar places. The escaping steam can damage furniture.
− Do not cover the ventilation slots on the underside.
− Never place the rice cooker on or near hot surfaces (e.g. stove tops, etc.).
− Set up the rice cooker so that it cannot wobble or tip over.
− Connect the mains plug to a properly installed socket.
Only use the rice cooker with the accessories supplied. Only use the supplied accessories
with this rice cooker.
Take the rice cooker out of the packaging, remove all packaging parts from the device and
the accessories and check whether the rice cooker or the individual parts show any signs of
damage. If this is the case, do not use the rice cooker. Contact the manufacturer at the
service address given on the warranty card.
